Capital of the newly made southern Indian state Telangana, Hyderabad is a major centre for the technology industry. The city is also the de jure capital of Andhra Pradesh. Along the banks of Musi river, Hyderabad is situated on a hilly terrain around artificial lakes which also includes the famous Hussain Sagar lake. Being a Metropolitan city Hyderabad preserves its history and the modernization together.

The most recognized structure of india, The Charminar is situated in this city. Being one of the most visited place The Charminar mosque is standing still for over 400 years. The fifth ruler of Qutb Shahi dynasty, Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, built the monument in 1591. Hyderabad was found and developed by the Qutb Shahi dynasty, there former capital was Golconda. Which is now known for the Golconda Fort.The fort is situated 11km west of Hyderabad. It is also a tehsil of Hyderabad district.

The name Gol Conda means - "Round shaped hill", this region is renowned for the mines that have produced some world's most famous gems, including the Kohinoor Diamond, The Hope Diamond, Nassak Diamond and the Noor ul Ain. In about 1724 the Mughals ruled over the city and the Mughal viceroy Asif Shah-I declared his sovereignty and declared his own dynasty which was knows as the Nizams of Hyderabad.

Hyderabad was ruled by the Nizams for about 150 years before the invasion of British. Today it is also known as the City of Nizams. The city of Hyderabad has a nickname and is called as the City of Pearls. The official languages of the city are Telugu and Urdu. Coming to the culture and art of the city Mushairas and poetry competions were organized in olden days.

South Indian Music and Dances such as the Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam styles are popular in the Deccan Region. The world Fame Hyderabadi Cuisine compromises a broad of repertoire of rice, wheat and meat dishes.

Use of various spices resulted in Hyderabadi Biryani and The Hyderabadi Haleem with blend of Mughal and Arab cuisines. The city is has everything under its hut, from ancient Indian culture to becoming the Technology hub of our country.
