When it comes to the capital of India it is often a matter of confusion if the capital is Delhi or New Delhi and more than often people considered Delhi and New Delhi to be same but it is not. New Delhi become the Capital of India.
New Delhi is bounded between the states of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana and incorporates the culture of both the states as well as of Punjab which creates a mixed culture called the Delhi culture. The city is a cosmopolitan with people of all religious beliefs living in harmony and celebrating all kinds of festivals.

The the city was established in the year 1911 when the then Viceroy of India Lord Irwin found that the best place for the Viceroy to live was the Raisina Hills in the area adjacent to the Old Delhi area which give rise to the New Delhi area the Raisina Hills are still the place where the President lives.

The city is a conjunction of historical and modern infrastructure. While visiting New Delhi one should never forget to visit Rashtrapati Bhavan and the neighborhood. Humayun's Tomb, Purana Qila and India Gate combines historical and the modern day architecture. Akshardham, Lotus Temple, Chattarpur Mandir, Bangla Sahib and Kalkaji Mandir provides a sense of spiritual enlightenment. Delhi offers some of the best places to shop like Meena Bazaar, Lajpat Nagar, Palika Bazar, Chawri Bazar, the famous Sarojini and the high profile Connaught Place. Other places not to miss include Rail Museum, Talkatora Stadium and Garden of Seven Scenes.
